Rust Converter

Rust Converter chemically transforms iron oxide (rust) into a stable iron-tannate film that's safe to paint over directly — no scraping, sandblasting, or wire-brushing needed. Brush it on, wait 24 hours, then topcoat with any Kompozit paint.

What it actually does: the active ingredient binds to surface rust and converts it into a black, polymeric layer that locks out further oxidation and gives you a paintable surface. It's not a magic fix — heavily flaking rust still needs to be knocked off first — but for stable surface rust on metal railings, gates, fence posts, garage doors, and tools, it eliminates the worst part of the prep.

Where it works: bare iron and steel with surface rust. Where it doesn't: aluminum, galvanized, or already-painted surfaces (no rust to convert).

Available in 1 quart (small repairs, single fence post) and 1 gallon (railings, gates, larger metalwork). Topcoat with NEO, PRO, or STRONG depending on the surface.
